02-19-2011 - First Snowshoe Hike
My first snowshoe hike turned out fabulous - went with the Longmont Hiking Group - we went to Rocky Mountain National Park, met at Hollowell Park and hiked up towards Bierstadt Lake - I didn't make it to the Lake, but I made it to Millner Pass - the views were breathtaking and, even though I didn't make it the entire 6 miles roundtrip, I did make it 4 miles roundtrip - my muscles sure do ache today - it was WORTH IT!

Rocky Mountain National Park - SITES
Rocky Mountain National Park - again, one of my favorite places - I do volunteer work there in the summer - and I live close enough (about 30 miles) that I can go anytime I want to for hiking, camping, or wildlife viewing - in fact, I can see Longs Peak from my home - the Janet SCORES again!

4 Seasons, 40 Days, 400 Miles
COLORADO is God's beautiful garden - and this video shows just one of numerous trails in this Rocky Mountain State - from National Geographic:
Yellowstone Untouched (Nat Geo)
Yellowstone is one of the best places - one of MY favorite places - and you can't beat it for having everything a nature and wildlife enthusiast would want - mountains, lakes, waterfalls, animals, forests, trails, and much more than I could list in one blog - this is a great one from Nat Geo:
