The Wildlife Center of Virginia has decided to intervene and take the 3 orphaned eaglets at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens in Virginia to continue raising them and hopefully set them free. After the mama eagle was hit by a plane on 04/26/2011 and killed, it's just too much for the daddy to handle by himself. Although he has been feeding them - it is still too dangerous for him to do it alone - and it was decided to intervene and finish raising the chicks till they fledge in early June.
